Celebrating 50 Years of Wolves Lacrosse
Once you put a lacrosse stick in a youngster’s hands, just watch the gleam in their eyes. Another lacrosse season is about to begin as everyone is excited and eager to throw that first pass, score that first goal or make an unbelievable save. This is why it is the fastest game on two feet, this is why it is the fastest growing sport in North America and around the world, this is why our First Nations forefathers introduced the Creator’s Game to provide medicine and life lessons for a strong mind, strong body, and strong spirit. That is LACROSSE!
In 2024 as a player, parent, or volunteer with the Wolves Lacrosse Association, you will become part of our history as we celebrate 50 strong years promoting, developing, and playing the game of lacrosse in the communities that fall within our boundaries. Since our first face-off at Sackville Arena in 1974, the Wolves (also known as Sackville Lakers) can boast being the longest-established minor lacrosse organization in Eastern Canada. Throughout those years many great players, coaches and volunteers have come and gone and their love for the game as well as commitment to the sport continues to thrive with those today who carry the torch. To our past we thank you. To our future, we welcome all to experience the fun and excitement the game has to offer.
Sports participation is vital to the development of our youth. Benefits are far-reaching and life-long, including improved physical, social and emotional health, enhanced confidence, academic success, leadership opportunities and so much more. For five decades, the Wolves Lacrosse brand has continued its objectives of inclusion, diversity and gender equality respecting the Creator’s wishes in a game for all.
Welcome to the 2024 season and let us start the celebration. You will experience an extraordinary year as many events are being planned. The Sackville Arena will once again be the hub of lacrosse in the province. Look for special merchandise to commemorate this special year. Let us get started and pick up that lacrosse stick. The funds generated play an instrumental role in covering various expenses, from equipment and maintenance to floor time and tournament fees. Without the unwavering support of our members, sustaining our programs and initiatives would prove challenging. We need your commitment!

Wolves Pre-Season Information
As we gear up for an exciting new season, we want to ensure that everyone is up to date on our upcoming preseason schedule. Please keep an eye on your emails for important dates regarding evaluations, team balancing, and preseason practices.
Preseason practices will soon commence at various locations. These sessions are invaluable for players to sharpen their skills, build team chemistry, and prepare for the challenges ahead. Evaluations are crucial for us to assess player skills and ensure fair team assignments. We encourage all players to attend these sessions to showcase their abilities and help us create balanced teams for the upcoming season.
